HE WAIT is nearly over for Apple fans as we're just one day away from the iPhone 11 reveal.
Experts think tomorrow's Apple event will see the launch of three new smartphones and we've rounded up all the rumours so you'll have a good idea of what to expect.
Apple has launched three new iPhones at the same time each year since 2017.
It's rumoured to be planning the same thing this September with "Pro" iPhone models that will succeed the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR.
The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Max and iPhone XR 2 will be announced around 6pm BST tomorrow at the US-based event.
Apple usually releases its new phones for sale on the Friday after the launch event, which would be Friday September 20.
Names
There has been a lot of speculation over what the new phones will actually be called given that Apple went for a roman numeral theme with the iPhone X (10).
Some people think the new iPhones will go back to using numbers so we may see the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Max and iPhone 11R, not the iPhone XI.
Price
The price of the upcoming iPhone is currently unknown but some experts think Apple will have to provide a cheaper option in the form of a new iPhone XR if it wants to remain competitive.
Some people think the iPhone 11 is still likely to cost around £999 in the UK though, which is a similar price to the iPhone XS.
Expected specs and features
The phones will reportedly have a triple camera system with a third sensor for ultra-wide angle photos and videos and a 3D rear-facing camera that should boost its augmented reality capabilities.
Low-light photo taking should also be improved and the cameras may rely on artificial intelligence to correct photos and enable the perfect shot.
Video recording is also rumoured to be improved and may come with new features, such as the ability to alter colours and re-frame and crop a live video recording.
Reverse wireless charging is also expected.
The iPhone 11 is expected to have a 5.8-inch display, like the iPhone XS but with smaller sides, so the screen will actually be bigger.
The new phones may be sturdier than current models thanks to shatter-resistance technology but they should look pretty similar to standard iPhones.
They may be coming with matte finishes and new colours though and new multi-angle Face ID.
The iPhone 11 is expected to be available in space grey, gold, silver and blue but other rumours have suggested the iPhone XR 2 will also come in lavender, green, black, white, yellow and potentially red.
On top of this, water resistance is expected to be better, meaning the devices could be submerged under water longer.
Updated OLED screens should also feature as well as faster A13 processors.
A 5G iPhone is not expected until next year
