Surprisingly, in order to join the removal of fuel subsidy, this bishop has decided to engage in what he described as fuel trek to Abuja if things are not reversed.
According to Daily post, the Bishop of Sufficient Grace and Truth Ministry, Seun Adeoye, has embarked on a one-man protest, dressed in full regalia of his office, to register his rejection of the recent deregulation policy of the Federal Government which has jacked up the price of fuel to N145 per liter.
Hanging on himself a placard bearing the inscription “N145 per litre: This is not change but chain,” he threatened to trek from Osogbo, the Osun capital, to Abuja to protest against the policy if the Federal Government refused to reverse the decision.
Adeoye, who used to be the Chairman of the Osun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, began the protest in front of the Osun State Government House, Okefia around 10am and marched to the popular Olaiya Junction where he addressed reporters.
His trek would indeed be there a record for all to see.
