Facebook 10th Anniversary,Mark Zuckerberg Send A Special Message

Tuesday, Feb. 4 marks the 10th anniversary of the groundbreaking social networking website. To celebrate the day, co-founder Mark Zuckerberg wrote a special message -- on Facebook, of course -- reflecting on the past 10 years, and how the company got its start when he was just a college student at Harvard.

"People often ask if I always knew that Facebook would become what it is today. No way," Zuckerberg, 29, wrote. "I remember getting pizza with my friends one night in college shortly after opening Facebook. I told them I was excited to help connect our school community, but one day someone needed to connect the whole world."
"When I reflect on the last 10 years, one question I ask myself is: why were we the ones to build this? We were just students," he continued. "We had way fewer resources than big companies. If they had focused on this problem, they could have done it. The only answer I can think of is: we just cared more."

Zuckerberg, who now has an estimated fortune of nearly $30 billion, said he will continue to care more in the next 10 years. "The first ten years were about bootstrapping this network," he explained. "Now we have the resources to help people across the world solve even bigger and more important problems."
Though his life may have drastically changed in the past 10 years, Zuckerberg said he still lives modestly during an interview . He is known for wearing a trademark hoodie, Zuckerberg said, "I wear the same outfit or at least a different copy of it almost every day."
